A Roof Job

We just finished another roof job.  All the materials had to carried in.  A 2 hour walk from the foot of the mountain.

Alfonse Turned 15 Years Old

Alfonse has been with me for over 2 years now and he is the youngest of the boys.  There were no candles but he was happy with the lolly pops instead.

Views of the Citadel Laferriere

The Citadel sit on the top of a mountain in the northern part of Haiti.  It was built by Henry Christophe.
A gorgeous view although it was hazy the day we were there.

I am fascinated by the architecture.

All the materials for building were carried by slaves to the top of this steep mountain.  Even cannons and other extremely heavy objects were carried by the slaves.

An Engine Overall

Missionaries from Lagonave, Richard and Miriam Hartman had engine problems.  They came to our compound to overall the motor.  After taking off the top half of the block (the head) we realized there was much more damage than what we expected.  Praise the Lord it is back on the road.

You probably have not seen this in a long time.  These men are plowing the field using bulls.

Loaded Trucks

Public transportation can be dangerous.  You can see that most of the vehicles are over loaded.

The Fond Losier Church

     Sunday morning service.
A couple that was married after living together for many years.  The man was very sick (near death) and the Lord spoke to him of his need of salvation.  He accepted the Lord as his Savior, got married, and was baptized.  The Lord touched him and he is doing well today.

Brother and Sister Clovice, the pastors of the church.
