Truck Painted After Accident

     The truck was finished the night before I traveled to U.S.A.  It took a long time to get the truck done after the accident but everything is back to normal once again.  Take a look at the April posts for the (before) pictures.

A Day With the Children

   
      I enjoy having the children come to visit.  Many of the boys that I have mentored are married and have children.  They bring their children to visit me.

      Too hot outside so the children wanted to color.  This is Ann.

     Dolph prefers to ride his bike but he needed a break from the heat too.

     This is Santisch.   She is cracking open almonds.  There is an almond tree in our yard.

     Alissa has been wanting to come to visit for a long time.

Our Bible School Graduation

    A picture of 11 of our 14 graduates this year.

    The students marching in.  Sister Frances Stettler is among them.  She was the sponsor for the graduating class.

A Roof Job

     We just finished another roof job.  All the materials had to carried in.  A 2 hour walk from the foot of the mountain.

     The rafters and all roof materials were metal.  All was pre-drilled and then bolted together after arriving at the job site.

Alfonse Turned 15 Years Old

    Alfonse has been with me for over 2 years now and he is the youngest of the boys.  There were no candles but he was happy with the lolly pops instead.

Views of the Citadel Laferriere

      The Citadel sit on the top of a mountain in the northern part of Haiti.  It was built by Henry Christophe.

  A gorgeous view although it was hazy the day we were there.

    I am fascinated by the architecture.  

    All the materials for building were carried by slaves to the top of this steep mountain.  Even cannons and other extremely heavy objects were carried by the slaves.

The Bois Dioute Church

Brother Joseph Aliodore and his wife are our ministers at the Bois Dioute Church.  They have be very faithful workers.
